The DMSS workshop discusses the techniques of data mining and statistical methods for large amount of data and their applications.

This workshop was sponsored by Grant-in-aid for Specially Promoted Research on Semistructured Data Mining in 2006, by JSAI SIG-DMSM (Data Mining and Statistical Mathematics) from 2007, and IEICE IBISML (Information Based Induction Sciences and Machine Learning) from 2011.

Since 2012, this workshop is merged with the international part of the IBIS workshop.
