even if your paper is submitted solely to the special issue.

We allow to submit papers not only to either the special issue or the
workshop but also to both of the special issue and the workshop.
Please follow the naming convention according to the submission
style:
(a) Submission to the workshop only:
Upload a paper whose file name should
be "PrincipleAuthorName-workshop.pdf" such as
"TakashiWashio-workshop.pdf".
(b) Submission to the special issue only:
Upload a paper whose file name should
be "PrincipleAuthorName-journal.pdf" such as
"TakashiWashio-journal.pdf".
(c) Submission to both of the workshop and the special issue:

Submission format
(1) Put your name, affiliation and email address in the first page.
(2) The detailed format of submission (either for the workshop or for the
special issue, or for the both of the workshop and the special issue)
should follow instructions at
JSAI home page.
(Since the instructions are
written in Japanese, for those who cannot understand Japanese, paper format
should follow
the IEEE transaction format instead.
)
(3) You can submit papers in Japanese or in English (even for the workshop
paper). The paper length should not exceed 8 pages. Papers which
violates the length limitation would be rejected automatically.
Decision of Acceptance
Review for the special issue and the workshop will be separately
made. Therefore, the decision would be different for the workshop and
the special issue if you submit a paper to both of the workshop and
the special issue.
Publication in Information and Media Technologies(IMT)
Selected papers written in English may be transfered to the
publication in
Information and Media Technologies(IMT) without extra cost.
Delay of the Decision
If the acceptance of a paper cannot be determined by the
notification date due to the delay of revision of the paper or some
other reasons, the paper will be considered as a usual submission to
JSAI journal (not for the submission to the special issue).
